These terms govern quotes, bookings, and piano moving services provided by Piano Moving World, based at 8620 Ogden Ave, Suite 4, Lyons, IL 60534. By booking a move with us, you agree to the terms below.

Quotes and Pricing

Quotes are flat rate by piano type: upright/console, baby grand, grand, or full concert grand. Pricing is based on information you provide by phone or photos, including piano type, access conditions, and distance. Stairs beyond a normal flight, a tight basement stairwell, a piano safe, or long-distance mileage are priced separately and disclosed in writing before your move date.

Deposits

A $150 refundable deposit is required to hold your scheduled move date. The deposit is credited toward your final invoice and is fully refunded if you cancel or reschedule at least 72 hours before your scheduled move.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled move receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations inside that window may forfeit the deposit, as crew and truck time have already been reserved for your job. We reserve the right to reschedule a move due to severe weather, including winter storms or spring flood conditions along the Des Plaines River, to protect the instrument and crew.

Discounts

Church, school, and repeat-customer discounts are applied to your written quote before you sign, where applicable.

Liability and Insurance

Every piano we move is covered by $1M in cargo insurance. We are registered with the Illinois Commerce Commission and hold US DOT and MC authority for interstate moves. Claims for damage should be reported to our office as soon as possible after the move.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes arising from services provided by Piano Moving World will be resolved under Illinois law.
